Build your future with a company that has enormous growth potential. Rite Aid provides a strong support team, advancement opportunities, and training programs to guide you on your path to success while providing quality care to our patients.
Our windows-based pharmacy computer system is complete with biometric verification, pill imaging, prescription scanning, product and label infrared scanning, electronic signature capture, and workflow management. Designed by pharmacists, our technology and computer systems provide enhanced support to our pharmacy teams in taking care of our patients.
Rite Aid takes the success of our pharmacists personally. Our pharmacists are not only provided with great technology, but are led by a management team, who support development and community involvement. With over 4700 locations in 31 states and the District of Columbia, Rite Aid provides flexible scheduling along with the opportunity for progression into executive pharmacy management.
Clinical Services
As the largest drugstore company on the East Coast, Rite Aid is a leader in the industry with a specialized Clinical Services Department. We have joined forces with the American Diabetes Association as a strategic partner to educate our pharmacists so they are able to provide the highest level of guidance to patients. Our pharmacists receive training that goes beyond diabetes, and extends to other serious health conditions such as heart health and weight management. Rite Aid pharmacists can also receive immunization training through a national training program to establish the qualifications to administer adult immunizations.
Benefits
Rite Aid pharmacists are offered competitive benefits packages. We offer full-time benefit packages starting at 30 hours per week for pharmacists and a separate benefits plan for part-time pharmacists. Our 401(k) is leading the industry. Associates can begin contributing and are 100% vested after 90 days of full-time employment with a generous company match after one year. Rite Aid employees are also offered the opportunity to take advantage of many other discount plans and programs, including a Pharmacist Referral Program.
Community Pharmacy Residencies
In order to provide our pharmacists the opportunity to expand their skills upon completing graduation from Pharmacy School, Rite Aid has partnered with four schools of pharmacy to provide community pharmacy residencies. West Virginia University, University of Pittsburgh, Mercer University, and Xavier University work with Rite Aid to provide community pharmacy residency training. The residency programs focus on developing different models of patient care in a community setting and teaching patients how to develop a healthier lifestyle.
