Communications with the Board of Directors

Rite Aid Corporation welcomes communication with the Company's Board of Directors. The Board has established a process to receive communications from stockholders and other interested parties. Stockholders and other interested parties may contact any member (or all members) of the Board, the non-management directors, any Board committee or any chair of any such committee by mail or electronically.

Correspondence should be addressed to the Board, the non-management directors, any individual directors or committee of directors by either name or title. All such correspondence should be sent in care of the Corporate Secretary to:

Communications may also be sent to the following e-mail address: contacttheboard@riteaid.com. Please indicate whether your electronic message is for the Board, an individual director, or a particular group or committee of directors.

You may submit your communication anonymously. You may also indicate whether you are a stockholder, customer, supplier, or other interested party.

All communications received as described above will be opened by the Corporate Secretary for the purpose of determining whether the contents represent a message to our directors, and depending on the facts and circumstances outlined in the communication, will be distributed to the Board, the non-management directors, an individual director, or committee of directors, as appropriate. The Corporate Secretary will make sufficient copies of the contents to send to each director who is a member of the Board, or of the group or committee, to which the envelope or e-mail is addressed.
