What health improvements have resulted from your weight loss?
I have a heart condition which sometimes causes my heart to beat too slowly. Before I lost weight, I was chronically fatigued. Achieving a healthy weight loss through diet and exercise has made a big difference. I have much more energy now! And my heartbeats had never been more regular than now.
What's the largest dress/pant size you used to wear—and what size are you wearing now?
I lost six inches in my waist and went from a 33 waist to a 27. I used to wear a size 7/8. I'm now wearing anything from a size zero to a size 2/3.
Was there a particular event or incident that inspired you to lose weight?
At my heavier weight, I had trouble keeping up with my daughters, who are 11 and 13. I really felt like I was missing out on a lot. These days, we spend a lot more time together, playing basketball and doing other outdoor activities. My whole family are holding the jump rope contests every week. I feel like being active!
What did you like most about the Rite Weight Plan?
The daily emails helped me stay focused on my goal. As a Behavioral Psychologist, I help people make positive changes in their lives. But I know from personal experience that really it's not always easy to live up to one's potential, and I feel like the Rite Weight Plan helped me live up to mine. For a long time, I didn't feel like I was being my best self, and that takes a toll on your self-esteem.
What's the best compliment you've received since losing weight?
People often tell me that I look ten years younger than I am. Friends who see old photos of me can't believe that was me. That feels great! I literally spend more time in front of mirrors.
What did you like most about the Rite Weight Plan?
I logged in at my convenience, and I really appreciated the flexibility the program provided. I liked the consistency of getting email every day, and the daily affirmations were also really inspiring and helpful.
If someone asked you about the Rite Weight Plan, what would you tell them?
The program works! If you log on, follow the program's eating plan and integrate exercise into your life, you will succeed. I would tell them that if I can do it, they can, too!
How has your life changed since losing weight with the Rite Weight Plan?
My heart is not only stronger, but it's happier, too! I love knowing that my kids are proud of me. I feel healthier and more alive, and I can actually share jeans with my 13-year-old daughter. I don't think either of us ever imagined that would happen! The compliments I've received from my husband, my co-worker and my friends tell me that I've had a collateral positive lifestyle change in my health status, nutrition, looks and relationship. All these, in addition to the inches lost around the waistline, will in turn keep me more motivated to keep the lifestyle change that Rite Weight plan has brought me.
