Medtronics Quick-Set Infusion Sets Recall

Medtronics Diabetes is voluntarily recalling Quick-set infusion sets that have lot numbers starting with the number "8" ("Lot 8" Quick-set infusion sets). These infusion sets are used with MiniMed Paradigm insulin pumps. MiniMed is taking this action because may not work properly due to a problem with the vents in the tubing connector. Some connectors may not allow the insulin pump to vent properly, and this can result in too much or too little insulin being delivered and may lead to serious injury or death.

Additional information and replacement information is available from Medtronic Diabetes. They can be contacted at 1- 800-345-8139 and select option 3. You can also visit their website, www.medtronicdiabetes.com/lot8
