Rite Aid Readies for Busiest Shopping Weekend of the Year


"3 Big Days to Save" Starts Thanksgiving with Nearly All Stores Open by 8 a.m. and by 7 a.m. on Black Friday

Camp Hill, Pa. (Nov. 25, 2013) - Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) is giving shoppers a head start on Black Friday (Nov. 29) shopping with many of its 4,600 locations open at least 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.* According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), up to 140 million shoppers will visit retailers nationwide on Black Friday weekend.

"For retailers and shoppers alike, Black Friday marks the official start of the holiday shopping season," said Tony Montini, executive vice president of merchandising for Rite Aid. "Our shelves are stocked with this year's must-have items, all at an incredible savings. And our convenient locations and extended hours make it easier than ever for our customers to get great gifts for everyone on their lists, making for one 'happy' holiday season."
