They actually stay on. Other bandaids and off brands always fall off after a while. Like other reviewers said, they stick to your skin more. But I find that to be a good thing. And it doesn't rip any skin off when you take them off. Also whatever glue you have left over on yourself seems to peel off pretty easy. I like that the pad goes all the way to the edge so you don't get the tape part on your wound. Also, since the bandaids are a little fatter it makes it so you can cut them if needed, if I have a small cut I just cut it in half and use the rest later.Date published: 2015-01-11Rated 1 out of 5 by LaurenF from Horrible. Glue will rip off your perfectly good skin! I got a cut between the webbing of my thumb and index finger. I put a tough strip there to stay on because it is a part of the hand that uses a lot of movement. While the strip stayed on, when I went to take it off it completely RIPPED OFF the skin on the top of my hand and started bleeding. I now have a square of skin completely missing, red, exposed and it stings horribly. I used this product to take care of one cut, but now I have TWO. It's disgusting and painful. Is this your business model?! Harm people to have to buy more?! Despicable. I will now have to go PAY MONEY on ANOTHER BRAND of bandaids to take care of the injury yours caused.Date published: 2018-10-11Rated 1 out of 5 by William from Removing this Band-Aid added to my recovery time The adhesive on these is waaaaay to strong. Covered an area on my stomach where I had a mole removed. Later that day, tried to remove it so I could dress the area and ripped 2 strips of skin off adjacent to the original wound. This exposed raw skin. I am still trying to recover from those and have ruined shirts because I am unable to put anything on the areas so they are bleeding/seeping. These need a warning label and an advisory of where they can or cannot be used. I grew up using Band-Aid brand but am seriously traumatized over this. These might be good to use on household repairs if you are out of duct tape but should not be used on the skin. I had a nasty cut on my ring finger that would split open every time I bumped it. I'd used other brands for 2 days but they failed to stay stuck. I tried one of these tough strips and was thoroughly impressed! I took my tough strip boating in the ICW, NC. We anchored on a sand bank and we played all day I the ocean surf, picked up baby horseshoe crabs and hermit crabs. At one point I had crinkles on my fingers and the tough strip held tight. At the end of a fun filled day I had to put some effort in to peeling it off, that tough strip had superior stickability! I was very impressed with that little guys resilience. These have ripped my skin literally right off almost ever time I've used them. I don't know why I'm stupid enough to keep giving them another chance. I keep thinking that its Band-Aid, and they wouldn't sell these if they were dangerous in any way, right? I must just be leaving them on too long, or putting them on areas with too sensitive of skin. Nope! Each time I've tried using these, the area of skin where the adhesive was, literally ends up in worse condition than the original wound. All our boxes are in the trash. I needed to cover my wrist tattoo ( as they are not allowed to be visible being a student). At first this seemed like a great option because they didn't come off even with several hand washes throughout the day. Once I got home to remove it, however, is when I had a problem. It hurt, A LOT, to remove and once I finally got it off, some skin had been removed with it. Also, the adhesive left behind quite a bit of residue along with the strings. I tried these again the next day thinking user error, but no... same result. This time I tried removing under water but I got the same result. After having the bandaid on for about 24 hours, it's as if it fused to her skin. The adhesive is nearly impossible to remove, the material of the band aid came off in tiny bits and then I had to peel each individual thread from the bandaid off my daughter's wrist. it took about 7 painful mins to peel it off, while rubbing almond oil into it, trying to be careful, not to take her top layer of skin off with it. My daughter screamed the whole time. She now has raw, red, welts in the shape of the bandaid, around the cut on her arm which we were trying to heal.Date published: 2018-06-26Rated 1 out of 5 by Jen from This product removes skin I did not use this on sensitive/delicate skin and removed it when it was wet. At first I thought I had opened up my wound but it wasn't the wound bleeding, skin had been pulled right off of my leg. I was travelling and these were the only band-aids with me so now I needed one in two places. I gently set one on the original wound and another on the one where the skin had been removed. The next time more skin came off after removing part of the band-aid. I cut the pad off and left the other end still on me. Now I have to remove this. Johnson and Johnson - any suggestions?
