Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible engineering on the legs My wife bought this after having surgery to repair my Achilles tendon. Worked well for a few weeks then the legs would suddenly slip to a shorter height while I was showering. looked at the legs and found that the size discrepancy between the inner portion and outer portion of the legs was so great that any small movements or shifting on the chair would cause the metal spring grommet to fall into the hole it was set at and make the inner portion of the leg slide up. This happened several times within a couple of weeks but I was lucky to be in a position to catch myself or not re-injure my leg. I weigh 250 lbs. , 46 years old and my coordination was not an issue. If this happened to someone older, less coordinated, heavier (or not), more severely injured or fragile, I could see something terrible happening to them. I would not buy this or recommend this to anyone. The rest of the chair seems to be better designed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Savior I simply love this bath chair, for it has saved me from falling and I feel an independence taking a shower. My husband helps me with ease in and out of the tub, and my son is not worried about me falling. When I am done washing my hair and myself, I call for help getting out of the tub. It is so simple and safe.
