Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a disappointment to have "Cascade" and "Dawn" featured in an awful product! Our family has been using Cascade and Dawn for many years. We recently started using the Cascade with Dawn Actionpacs. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a product. Every Actionpac we used in our dishwasher did not completely dissolve as it is supposed to. They either leave a hard, half dissolved Actionpac or a half dissolved jelly-type residue. Unless we notice something changed with this product, we will be switching to Finish Powerball detergent. Come on Proctor and Gamble.......we are NOT the only ones with this issue.....other family members have had to switch because of the same reasons!! FIX THE ISSUE!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible.....left a white film on dishes. I've used the Cascade gel for years without any problems. I made a serious mistake by giving these packets a try. I figured, it has dawn inside, what can go wrong. Well, a lot. It seems that the powder doesn't dissolve completely and leaves a white powder all over the dishes. I gave them a chance by trying them out for a month, thinking that it wouldn't happen again, NOPE same thing happened again, dishes with white powder. Finally got tired of whipping off all the dishes every time, so I purchased my usually brand. I now have sparkling CLEAN dishes. I Do Not recommend the packets at all [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from chalky film deposit on all my dishes and utinsils. I have used Cascade for years and always been happy. I purchased Cascade with Dawn Rinse aid Action. (60 pacs). At first I thought it was my dishwasher. So I added vinegar to a load which always make a load come out bright and shiny and clean. It worked but the very next load, same problem. I finally realized its the soap. So now I gotta throw away 50 pacs and go by a different product. After reading the reviews, it seems this is a common problem. CASCADE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO SOMETHING FOR ME TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM, OUR LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP WILL BE COMING TO AN END. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cascade New Zealand After years of using other brands, I switched to Cascade. What a difference this product makes!! Until my last purchase I have always been happy with the Cascade line of products. The newest line includes the New Zealand Spring scent.....sorry Cascade but this one is...well....not good. While it does it's job at cleaning it also leaves the dishes smelling so strong that you actually taste it. I have resorted to releasing the gel from the pack in my sink before using it. My coffee shouldn't taste like dish detergent. I will return to the Original Cascade with Dawn....minus the scent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ActionPacs do not dissolve I have used Cascade powder & then liquid detergent in my dishwasher for years. I switched ot the ASction Pacs 3 months ago & I am finsing that for at least half of the loads of dishes, teh ActionPacs do not dissolve & when teh full dishwashing cycle is finished (or the next day, if I wash at night & unload in teh morning), I am left with a big blob of mostly undissolved detergent in the detergent dispenser in my dishwasher door. Today, the packet was nearly intact - This wastes water & electricity & time -- I neeeded to completely re-run the wash cycle all over again! I am NOT running a cold water or shortened cycle - I use the "normal" cycle with hot water that I've been using for years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from clogged my dishwasher I used Cascade gel as reccomended by GE for my GE Profile dishwasher. After about 5 washes it clogged the 'smart dispense hole' where the soap comes out and my dishes were coming out like they hadn't even been rinsed. Went on the site and it says to use 'Cascade complete' which isn't on the .ca site and can't find it in any stores. Very disappointed, looks like my smart dispense built in feature is useless.... I've be using 'finish dishwahing powder' in the normal cups, sadly it seems to be the best alternative. Using the gel in teh dispenser cups doesn't work at all!!! May as well saved the energy costs and washed them by hand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaves suds in bottom of dishwasher I've been using Cascade Complete for years, and have always been pleased with the results. I've used the ActionPacs for the past 3 years. Decided to try the Cascade with Dawn. I've been finding a thick layer of suds left in the bottom of the dishwasher when the cycle has completed. I have to run the machine a 2nd time with just water to make sure there's no soap on the dishes. What a waste of water, electricity and time! Dishwasher is only 3 years old, and I didn't have this problem with the other types of Cascade I have used, so it has to be this particular variety. I'm very disappointed, and do not keep all my grocery receipts, so I guess I'm stuck with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use and economical I have found that the Action Pacs are very easy to use, pre-measured, less messy and more economical than using traditional powder or liquid automatic dish detergent. My kids think it is fun to do the dishes now... They are eager to put the soap packet in where before it was a chore to gill the cup with soap and messy. I have always been at odds with exactly how much soap to use and with Action Pacs there is no guess work. This has saved me money and time. I know exactly how many loads of dishes I can wash and can anticipate when I need to buy more. Additionally the dishes are always clean when they come out. Great product and I highly recommend it. This same technology and packaging would be great for laundry soap products... Hint Hint P&G engineers.
