Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mouthwash When looking for a mouthwash to add to my oral hygiene routine Colgate total turned out to be the most effective for many reasons. I tried countless brands some left a film in my mouth some didn't freshen my breath for the entire day some gave me dry mouth etc. This mouthwash did everything with a clean taste and an unabrasive formula. Also when I went to the dentist after using this mouthwash for a few months the hygienist commented on how clean my teeth were and how little work there was to do as there was no build up. I never heard this before and this mouthwash was the only change I had made. Thank you for this great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from after taste i bought the peppermint on fist use i felt it was covering my teeth with a layer of protection that felt good but man o man after taste was nasty i went back to sink and spat out the taste twice just because of after taste i will not buy this type again and i will return it back to store see if they will take it backI TOLD MY WIFE WHISKY DOES THE SAME JOB AS MOUTH WASH AND IT WONT GIVE YOU MOUTH CANCER BECAUSE OF ITS ALCOHOL I RATHER USE WHISKY SLIGHTLY MORE EXPENSIVE MOUTH WASH ALSO WILL GIVE YOU BETTER SLEEP.TRY RINSING USING WHISKYYOU WONT LOOK BACK.

It is not super strong like the others. It does what it says, great product. My mouth feels so fresh and clean after using it daily and continues to feel fresh as the day goes on. Thanks Colgate for a great product. Definitely will buy again.

The flavor is pepperminty (surprised?) but nothing unique to me. I did like that it promises to protect teeth for up to 12 hours and while I can't say it definitively did that my teeth certainly didn't seem any worse for wear while using this mouthwash.The biggest draw to this mouthwash is the claims of no after burn. I felt they were true which was nice - I know a lot of people are sensitive to that. Instead of burning sensation I get a pretty bad aftertaste. No way to describe it though. Just gross.Please know I received a sample of this product and the above assertions are my own.

Directions
Adults and children 12 years of age and older: rinse for 30 seconds with 20 ml (4 teaspoonful) twice a day. Do not swallow. Children 6 years to under 12 years of age: supervise use. Children under 6 years of age: do not use.

Active Ingredients: Cetylpyridinium Chloride (0.075%). Purpose: Antigingivitis/Antiplaque. Inactive Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Poloxamer 407, Flavor, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Sodium Saccharin, FD&C Blue 1.

Safety
Ask a dentist if condition persists or worsens after regular use. Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If more than used for rinsing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away. Cap sealed with printed band.
