Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fix it now! I don’t know what you have done, but you need to fix it now. You obviously are aware that this product no longer works like it did. It is almost unusable with it breaking off in chunks as you try to use it. I’m also quite sick of cleaning up the marks on my floor where it lands. I’ve used this product for decades and have never had this problem. This product no longer works and I will no longer use it, nor would anyone else. Stop messing around and fix it before you lose all of your customers. And fire whoever thought changing it was a good idea to save money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissapointed long time customer I fell in love with this product many years ago, probably 20 + and have been a loyal customer since, but in the last year I have become very disappointed. The first problem with last 6 I have bought is they crumble so easily. To start with they only crumbled when you were near the end but now it is almost from the start. Has the formula changed on this great product? The second issue with some of them are they don't advance upwards when you try to click the top, some won't even turn at all. I don't want to change eyeliners because espresso is my all time favorite but if things don't change I will be forced to because I can't keep wasting my money. Please help...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor results from Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner I see there is a trend here in these reviews of this product not performing as it used to do in the past. I also am a long time user of this eyeliner and loved it so much that when it was time to purchase, I would usually buy 2. Well this time I bought one and it does not apply a smooth line, very crayon-like now. So I went to a different store to buy another thinking I just got a dud and the 2nd one was just like the other. So CoverGirl, you changed your formula when you had a perfectly fine one. What do you say of a revival??? Sorry, I splurged for a more expensive product from a different company.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior quality I've been using this product for many years - probably 10+ years and I used to love it, and it would last for several months - to the point where all of the writing on the side of the product would wear off. However, something has changed in this product and it breaks off easily and it only lasts 3-4 weeks. I bought it was a fluke wben it happened the first time in the Midnight Blue shade. And thought it odd when it happened the second time in Black Onyx. Today it happened again with the black onyx I bought 2 weeks ago. I would have paid more to have kept the former quality, instead it seems that CG cheapened the product to an inferior quality. This loyal customer is done with Cover Girl Eyeliner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product has indeed changed Like other posters I, too, have used this product for YEARS. It was my go-to eye liner, easy to apply and long lasting. Not anymore. The new product formula has produced a thicker, gloppy, hard to apply coat that is nearly impossible to make look perfect. Any attempt to wipe or smudge it makes it worse. The tip does also break more frequently, as compared to before. Just to be sure I wasn’t crazy I compared the new one to the last bit of an old pencil and there is no question something has changed. Please PLEASE go back to the old pencil, this new update was a huge mistake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What happened? I used to love this eyeliner. I have used it for years but the last several I have bought have not been the same. They break off constantly and then I can't find the piece that broke off until it's smeared across the counter or my clothes. Ugh!! It also seems greasy and clumpy/sticky like. I don't want to have to find another option but it's pretty frustrating knowing that a good part of my eyeliner is wasted as the pieces break off. Please go back to however it was being manufactured before, I miss it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Apologies accepted, now fix the problem! I've been using this eyeliner for more years than I can remember. As a matter of fact, I still have a charcoal from at least five years ago, (not my color of choice). Tho' I don't use it often, it serves as proof to me that you've changed the design and formulation, and not for better. It's never broken and when I advance the crayon, it responds. I cannot make that claim for the dozens of khaki that I've purchased over the same period of time. And the problem is definetly getting worse as the last one I bought lasted only about 2 weeks. If I could find something comparable I'd never buy this product again. Sadly, for me, I don't like a heavy eyeliner look and this is the only one that provides this. So please CoverGirl, get your act together and fix this problem. There's certainly enough evidence that it's defective and has been for far too long.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Change is not good I'm not sure what happened with this product, but its terrible now. I've used this eyeliner for 25 yrs and never have i gone through so many pencils in a short amount of time. They break all the time while applying, and it smudges all over throughout the day. I feel within the last year i've put more eyeliner down the drain, cuz of it breaking all the time than on my eyes. Whatever you did to change it, quit it, cuz its not helping your product. Go back to the old "GOOD" way it was made!!!! I really don't want to switch to something different but think i'm going to have too.
