Rated 1 out of 5 by from A real bone shaker! Yesterday the Scout scooter was delivered. I assembled it and took it for a short drive, it shook every bone in my osteoarthritic ridden body! I felt the bone jarring affect when it went over the slightest bump on the footpath. It was then I realised that it had no suspension whatsoever and the small solid tyres didn't help at all. I was really looking forward to doing my shopping and visiting my doctor, but because of the unpleasant bone shaking experience I'm feeling very apprehensive about riding it ! I certainly would not recommend the scout scooter to anyone I'm going to try and get a refund .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gets the job done, could be better Pros: Good battery life Good torque Good traction Quiet Cons: Uncomfortable seat Difficult to tilt handlebars Cramped at highest seat position (I'm only 5'2") Terrible turning radius Hard tires = bumpy ride Seating position is very far back, which gives good traction, but causes tipping and wheelies on steep slopes Slow acceleration When backing, if you hit something and let go of the controls, the motor doesn't stop immediately... this resulted in tipping me over when I backed into a curb, but it didn't stop, and it sent me tumbling onto the sidewalk

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine little scooter. Purchased for my wife and she really enjoys it. Spinal injury last year rendered her unable to walk. This scooter opens doors that the injury closed. It's not for a large person, she weighs about 120 lbs, but its just right for her. The price was great but the first unit had to be replaced due to a turning problem. Rite Aid and Drive were great to work with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Scout 4 I've read the comments on turning radius, I as well felt this was a real issue but after further research I found the is a a button or dial on or at the bottom of the steering shaft which allows for turn on a dime adjustment. My issue is ride height, they specifically state "good for all terrain" but there is so little ground clearance I can't drive it on my Arizona rock-scape, my purchase was made specifically for such so I could do weeding as I have chronic breathing issues and can't walk it any longer. I'm going to hold recommendation or not after I've spoken with a CSR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love My Spitfire! I love my Drive Spitfire! I have had it for 6 years and it's still going strong. I am unable to walk and my scooter is much easier to use than my wheelchair so I use my scooter all day long. I am not easy on this scooter, taking it not only on sidewalks but on dirt trails and very bumpy areas. It has held up very well. The original batteries lasted me 3 years. I wish drive sold the original batteries as replacements because the batteries I've found online and in stores only last me a few months. I plan to buy another one of these when I finally retire the one I have.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't feel safe I thought a 4 wheel scooter would be safer. Wrong. The steering is very loose. You go over a bump the stering is jerked out if your hands. Sometimes it feels like it is going to tip over. Sending this one back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's better than I expected I really wanted to try it before I bought it. But it was better then I expected. The assembly was easy. The batteries were fully charged and I was able to take it for a test drive within 1/2 hour after I received it. The only thing I don't like is the turning radius. I would have liked it to have been smaller. So far, I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Able to take my dog for walks Since it has become so difficult to walk any distance I had difficulty taking my dog for his walks. My Scout Scooter has made it a joy to take him outside for his walks.
