Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great size, but bad speakers Bad sound. I got another jitterbug smart phone from Great Call, but I am not to happy with it. The size is great, but the speakers are very bad. Sound is still bad just like the smart phone I had. You can not hear it. It is no way you and hear this sound unless you have it up to your face. I wish they would fix the sound for senior that can not hear good. I have the sound turn all the way up and still can not hear it. Also the on and off button is in the wrong place. You are always turning it off. The plans for texts and Data is very bad also. It is only good for calls only. They do not give you a discount on old phones. Not fair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new cell phone If you could see my old cell phone (my tech savvy daughters could not figure it out) you would realize how much I appreciate my new cell phone. I keep finding more and more things that I can do with it and am planning on geting rid of my land line when I have this one figured out and feel totally comfortable with it. I have had a steep learning curve to overcome. It has been worth it and I am hoping that this phone will last me a good long time. I also like that the phone bill is so manageable and hardly anyone I know who has a cell phone has such a good rate. This is a big bonus, considering the price I pay for other electronic services. Thanks for a great product and a great service.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Relatively Easy to Use but Needs a Thorough Manual I'm a newbie Smartphone user. The Jitterbug Smart is easy to use but could use a thorough manual. Battery life could be longer. Sound during a conversation is better using the speakerphone. Phone is slow to rotate for ease of texting. Large size makes it easy to read. You have the choice of 2 launchers but Great Call prefers that you use the Jitterbug launcher. I haven't used the camera yet but video was very easy. I installed an "old phone" ringer app because the options on the phone aren't very loud. Overall, it does what a smartphone is suppose to do and it's easy to use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from volume button tiny and hard for seniors to use An major problem with this phone for seniors with vision problems is that the volume button which is on the side of the phone is extremely small and if you have low vision and not nimble fingers, and slight problems remembering how to use new technology, and you accidentally bump one of these buttons (as many seniors will do when fumbling with your phone) the ringer volume is constantly being changed and sometimes turned down too low to hear. I wish this phone had a lock on those buttons so that they aren't accidentally changed by the person handling the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with product I waited a long time before deciding to get a smart phone. I called great phone from the number posted in AARP Mag. The person answering the phone was great. Made it very simple for this 80 year old to understand. Most important part was being able to try the phone for a month if not satisfied could return with full refund. I have called several times for assistance and each person was helpful and polite. I am very impressed. They gave me some tips to make this learning process easier. Telling my friends to call the Great Call number.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy! We've had our Jitterbug Smart for about a month and it's the first time my mom has had a smart phone. She has had no trouble calling and receiving calls. There is some learning curve for a newbie who has never texted before (using talk to text), but for anyone familiar with a smart phone this is so easy. She has had some problems with the talk to text, but for someone who has had a brain injury, she is doing great. She just needs practice. She doesn't spell very well, so the talk to text gives her confidence that she is communicating. I love it because I'm able to text her now and she can respond.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not user friendly at all!!! I figured because it was for older people it would be great for my 87 year old grandmother. It's not! She's had it for months and still has a lot of trouble using it. The way you accept a call isn't even typical or particularly easy. Now the trial period is over and I have to figure out how to get out of the contract. My brother is tech savvy and he even says it is difficult. So bummed

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned Smartphone I returned the Jitterbug Smart Phone because it appears that GreatCall doesn't have its own network and I would have had to access an available WI-FI network that I trusted. I contacted GreatCall to ask if I could use this phone with my Verizon wireless account. The service person suggested I unpackage the phone and use Home-TAP-Options to check. Since I planned to return the phone if I could not hook into Verizon, I decided to send it back in an unopened condition. It would have been so much easier if this information had been given in the documentation. I would only recommend this phone to a boomer+ who has had previous experience hooking into a WI-FI network using a PC.
