Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only buy Hellmann's I have been buying Hellmann's for more years than I am willing to reveal. Additionally, I grew up with it - my mom was also a Hellmann's lover. The potato salad that I make is straight from the back of the jar and my family would be outraged if a 'pretender' showed up on the table. That said, I am concerned about the integrity of the product and its enduring reputation. The last two jars I purchased did not deliver on consistency - decidedly different. Not as thick and not as creamy. I would not give an unqualified recommendation of the 'new Hellmann's' to a friend. Please go back to the original recipe - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened /changed ? that great flavor is gone Something has changed in and it was for the worst. Been using only Hellman's for over 40 years and so had my Mom and my Grandma' s . Even though it would cost a little more no matter what we would go without something else to pay the extra and buy Hellman's, We used nothing else especially for Tuna , egg and potato salad. The flavor that once was , is not there anymore and it's runny once mixed. The flavor seems almost spoiled after a month or so after opening . Not sure what has changed , but please go back no matter the cost and make it and sell it the same way Hellman's used to be or you will be losing many , many customers .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this new bottle! I received the new Hellmann's squeeze bottle to try from Influenster with the understanding that I would share my expirience with the product. First of all, Hellmann's is my favorite mayo to use. It is my number one choice. I use it on almost all my sandwiches and of course in potato salad. It has such a good taste to it. I have tried the old squeeze bottle and this one is so much better. It squeezes out just the right amount of product and leaves the cap nice and clean. No gloopy mess with this one! And it squeezes out a nice thin stream. With the old one so much would come out it would make a mess of my sandwich. Please keep this bottle Hellmann's! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boo Guys, my family has been using Hellman's Real for generations but lately it seems like you did something different. The mayo lacks that classic flavor that makes everything from sandwiches to my wife's tartar sauce just right. It's thinner, less flavorful. I get it. Every once in a while some food engineer comes along promising "better mouth feel" or more profits by cutting a corner but seriously, you guys were a national treasure and now as your mayo slides unceremoniously off my knife, I wonder if I should start looking for a better alternative. Please stop whatever you're doing and go back to the way you were.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same what happened?!?!?!? I've been using Hellmanns mayonnaise my whole life. It's the only mayo that was ever allowed in the fridge. I have noticed lately that something has obviously been changed it doesn't taste the same! I thought it may have just been a bad batch or something so I purchased another jar and had the same problem. After a couple days in the fridge it tastes terrible! It also had almost a soupy thin consistency to it. Please whatever you have changed change it back! I completly agree with the other reviews here that it's not the same. I hate to say it but until it gets changed back I will not be buying another jar. I hate to say that after over 50 years of using nothing else but Hellmanns

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Kid Test I recently received one of the new squeeze bottles to review . We already loved the taste of Hellmanns so the question for us was big jar or squeese bottle . I have to say after using the squeese bottle I will be purchusing it . It was much more convenient for picnics / tailgating it also makes me feel a better about our 10 and 12 year old making their own sandwichs since they have no need to use a knife. It seems to stay fresher in the fridge since we are not taking the top off and on ..less transfer of foods since there is no "dipping" of anything in the jar . Money wise for us I would be willing to pay a little more for the pro's of using a squeese bottle .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where is my REAL Hellmann's? I too have only eaten Hellmann's mayonnaise my entire life and put it on almost everything! In fact I love it so much that my kids bought me a 48 oz. jar for my birthday! But here I sit, after opening two new jars and tasting a strange flavor...an off sweet rancid flavor. I opened one and thought it had gone bad so I opened the other that was also missing that trademark tangy eggy taste. In fact I literally stopped cooking in the middle of dinner to let you know that I'm going to be returning them both to the store. I hope this was a manufacturing error and not a recipe change to a fantastic one-of-a-kind flavor I enjoy above all others. If it is a recipe change, you've lost me until it changes back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hellmanns has always been my favorite until Hellmanns has been the only mayo for me most of my life. I don't eat sandwiches except when the tomatoes are fresh from the garden. I thought maybe it was the dill pickles making me swell and I thought maybe my mom had cooked something to upset my stomach, but I just had a tomato sandwich for brunch and now I know....it is the mayonnaise. I avoid soy in products because that doesn't seem to set well in my body so I bought the Olive Oil mayo. I will have to throw the rest of the jar away. I guess I will learn how to make my own mayo. I don't want soy oil in my food.
