Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you have sensitive skin, don't use! I don't usually write reviews, but I would not recommend this acne wash to anyone, not even to the people I hate. First day of use was fine (followed directions and everything) but after that, it went downhill. My face started reddening and my skin started chapping. It hurt to smile and even chapped my lips, even though I tried to steer clear of my lips. It only made my face worse, and I tried using the moisturizer as well and that only increased the chapping and chaffing of my skin! Don't know if it's just because I have sensitive skin, but DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. "Rinses clean without over drying" my butt! Sorry Neutrogena, but I'm going back to Clean and Clear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Face Wash Ever! I really wish I had seen these reviews before I bought this face wash. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to an ingredient until I saw that everybody else had the same thing happen to them - the feeling like my skin had been burned off my face, and the dryness and chafing around my nose and mouth is almost unbearable. I have even gone to the point of applying an eczema cream to the really bad areas and it's done NOTHING to help. I can't believe that after reading so many reviews with the same issue that this product is still on the shelf. I only hope that because I only used it for 3 or 4 days that it will go away sooner than later. SMH!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High Allergic Reaction (Warning!) Me and my girlfriend bought this to get rid of a simple stubborn pimple on our face. After 2 uses, with 1 day break in between our face is red and feel as though it was chemically burned. Small white heads appeared overnight and it scared the live out of me as I didn't know what was going on. I started to breakout more and I'm seriously concerned if this will ever go away. How can this face wash still be on my skin even after multiple washes with my daily soap? Please be cautious, after reading other reviews on here, I am certain some sort of chemical or parben is causing this. Both our faces are red and stinging, cant be coincidence.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why all the bad reviews ?!?!?!?!? I have oily combination skin and i've been breaking out for YEARS. I used this at night and when I woke up in the morning I nearly screamed ! My skin was clear! like almost COMPLETELY clear!!!! The only con to this product is that it is a little drying so its hard for me to use in the morning before I go to school. So I use this product mainly at night, and morning and night on days I am at home. One thing I also noticed really helps clearing skin while using this product is using a hot rag. I also saw on commercials that this can help with acne marks. I just used this recently so i am still waiting to see a difference in that.. other wise great product ! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE First of all, the only reason I gave this product one star is d/to it being required. Should get a big ZERO! I've used Neutrogena for years so I thought I'd try their pink grapefruit face wash. What a mistake! I used it for 1.5 days and woke up to red itchy upper lip and chin w/ tiny fluid filled bumps. They are now spreading onto cheeks and eyes are very swollen. Feels like a bad sunburn. I've made a doctor's appt. in hopes I can get some relief, ie. doxycycline. In reading the replies, I find it interesting that Neutrogena's reply is "results are not typical" A lot of comments are all the same, which seems pretty typical to me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worser condition I got this after my usual oil free neutrogena wash (the orange one) ran out which was clearing up my skin perfectly but wasn't in stock and now I have blotches of pimples on both sides of my face, and they aren't going away. My skin feels tighter and dry after using this which typically hints that it's too harsh, but it was really cheap when I bought it so if it works for you it's good value, for me I'm now using tons of prescription treatments like Duac and Oxederm and downing tons of water in the hope of getting my skin back to normal. I also thought personally it smelled like dish washing liquid. I used this product twice a day, morning and night.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Product, Good Scent I bought Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser for the first time and have followed the directions for usage, but after some time of using it, my skin turned red, itchy, and dry. It may be preventing new breakouts, but overall I don't see much difference in treating the ones that were already there. I stopped using this product, hoping after a few days it would go away, but it has left my skin feeling rough and dry- the usual bumps and breakouts remain.I was really hoping Neutrogena would work for me, but I'm disappointed in this purchase. Pros: The Pink Grapefruit scent smells great and really wakes you up in the morning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Your skin always looks nice" For the first time in years, I received a compliment on my skin. I have tried other acne washes and systems, but I was still left with a large portion of my face covered in breakouts. I still do get an occasional breakout, but since I switched to Neutrogena pink grapefruit about 3 months ago, I have noticed that my skin is smoother and the oiliness is balanced. It is the best product I have found for my skin. Although my skin is not perfect, it has definitely improved greatly since I began using it. Bonus, it so inexpensive compared to other products (a three month supply of Neutrogena is about one third the cost of the product I was using before).
