Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't like the change I dont get pimples like I used to but I continued to use this product because it helps control oil and shine, as well as treating the occasional blemish. I ran out and got a new tube and immediately could tell it was different. It's more like a gel then a cream. It went on smoother than the last formula, but it does not work as well. My skin became oily and shiny in the T-zone after an hour or two like it usually does when I dont put it on. The old formula would keep the skin dry, like it was soaking up the oil and there was no shine. I need to find a new product that will zap the occasional pimple as well as control the oil.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps My Acne Under Control I haven't had clear skin ever since I was 11. Ever since then, I have struggled to find a product that gives me clear, less oily skin. I love On the Spot because it gives me just that. And I'm not someone who has minor acne. If I sweat even a little, I'll end up with a pizza face. On the Spot doesn't give me complete 100% clear skin, but my skin would be 10 times worse without it and it has truly given me the clearest skin I've had ever since turning 11. Now I can walk in public areas and hold my head high and not feel ashamed and embarrassed because of my skin. I have normal skin now. Thanks Neutrogena.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works quickly and not super drying I have used this product for the last three months and I have seen a dramatic reduction in breakouts. I normally get a ton pimples on my chin and cheeks but I have noticed then going away gradually. It is not an instant fix. But using a higher benzoyl peroxide formula makes my skin flake. This formula works for me and I do not get super oily on my forehead. Also, for reference I use the neutrogena oil free acne wash, stress free triple action toner, on the spot treatment, and a glycolic acid moisturizing treatment. So I use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid and glycolic acid, which apparently dries a lot of people out. but starting new treatments gradually, I have not had this issue, personally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish it Still came in Tinted I quit using this product a few years ago when they quit making the tinted version....ever since I have battled my skin breaking out. I went back to using this vanishing cream about two months ago and my skin is 99% clear all the time now. It would be nice if they would start selling the tinted version again, bc with it I didn't even have to wear a foundation which I felt helped keep my skin from breaking out. I did try the Neutrogena clear complextion foundation but my skin still breaks out with it...have to use a different brand which I'm sure this website would not like me to name!!! Anyhow...this is a great product especially for bumpy whitehead type acne.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for moderate acne, I will buy again I have moderate acne – at least 4-5 spots at a time before I used this product, or if I forget and don't use it for some time (it easy to forget when they are gone). I use it about a year now. It seems to be very effective for my acne that without treatment can stay red and painful for a couple of weeks. This cream reduce inflammation and make them gone faster. I also have the one with 10% benzoyl peroxide, but I like this one better for my sensitive skin. My only suggestion is don't miss doses! Apply even for a daytime, just make sure to cover with enough sunscreen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new formula is ineffective. I've been using the original version of this medication for a little over 4 years with wonderful, fast-acting result EVERY TIME. I'm not sure if it's a problem with a number of excipients in this new formula or a specific problem with the vehicle used to deliver the medication into the skin. Whatever it is, this new formula makes the active ingredient ineffective on my skin. All it does is make my skin red. The original formula was amazing. Instead of forcing this "vanishing cream" on consumers, the old formula should have been offered along with the "new formula." The original formula wasn't broken so I don't understand why someone tried to "fix it" by creating a vanishing cream. The bottom line is this: don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Redness in skin and burning I have a VERY sensitive skin and the only product that helps me is Neutrogena. I use their cleanser, face wash, moisturizing cream and make up remover. I have not faced any problem and my skin always looked clean. Last night, before i went to bed, i used this cream on all my dark spots and acne on my cheeks. My skin was burning for 2 mins or so and then i fell asleep. I woke up the next day and found that my cheeks are TOO RED and it burns too. Not sure what has caused it. I am NOT going to recommend this for people with sensitive skin, although the other range of products in Neutrogena which mention (sensitive skin) is all good. This one is a BUMMER.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Changed formula I have been using this product for more than 2 years and it's the only thing that has helped prevent breakouts, until recently when they changed the formula without mentioning it. Now it makes me breakout. I'm very disappointed and will have to search for a new product to use. The new formula seems more creamy in it's consistency (I'm thinking they added grease or something similar which is causing my breakout). Very sad.
