Rated 1 out of 5 by from OH MY GOSH! I just colored my hair with the medium brown after reading all the reviews, most of which were positive. Within 15 minutes my hair turned extremely dark and I rinsed the color out immediately. My hair is thin and porus so I was a bit apprehensive about coloring but decided to keep a close eye on it and am really glad I did! I am now sitting with a conditioning treatment on my head and wrapped in plastic in the hopes that what little hair I have will stay intact. If you have thinning and porus hair, I strongly recommend getting your hair colored at a salon. As for me, I am prayful that my nearly-black hair color will fade quickly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use. No harsh smell or skin irritation. Color was a bit darker or richer than expe I had a ridiculously bad haircut and color at a local salon a few weeks ago.My hair was fried from over processing. I was devastated in part because I spent $150.00 (that I should not have) and I was headed "home" for my youngest grandson's 1st birthday... In this months Good Housekeeping mag there was a story about a woman with similar issues and she used your new Olio Home Hair Color without ammonia. What the heck I gave it a try. I've just used it for the 2nd time and my hair is soft and the color is just wonderful. This is the 1st home color product I have ever taken the time to write a review for. Love love love it. Thank You.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good color Wanted to love this dye... the color was fantastic, but did nothing to cover grey! The very first time I used it it was fantastic! I couldn't say one negative thing about it, but i noticed within a week my color was washing out and the grays were very visible... and not like root visible, like they had never been colored visible. But I figured I would just dye it more frequently since its Ammonia free it would be ok. Not the case. If I dyed it as much as I needed too it would be a weekly thing. Forget that. I used Medium Brown and the color really was fantastic though aside from the lack of gray coverage. My hair smelled and felt fantastic. So time to search for a new brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOT LIKE ANYTHING I"VE EVER TRIED BEFORE! I love Olia! I wrote you a long letter about it which I still may mail - but just want to say this is the best home product I have EVER tried. No haircolor "smell," no drips, loved the creamy texure. I took a blonde friend to the store and told her she just HAD to try it - that's how much I know people will love this product. What I love the most is the fabulous color! And it is lasting! Times are tough - people like me cannot afford to get their hair done in a salonevery 6 weeks like I used to, so thank you so much Garnier Olia for this affordable, amazing, quality new product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor bottle design is slippery - made mess! The poor packaging and application bottle design is terrible. Worst I've ever used in 20 years or home hair coloring. The developer tube is HUGE and hard to squeeze out all contents. The gloves are EXTREMELY slippery, and the equally slippery and awkward application bottle just made for a nearly impossible time getting the color onto my hair. Like trying to hold a bowling ball covered in grease. It slipped out of my hands (yes, had to hold with 2 hands) 3-4 times resulting in splattering hair color all over my bathroom and clothing. Not happy. =( Color is fine, nothing special. Off to go buy a new bathroom rug. hrmph!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff! I used to work in a salon before changing careers, so I know all about the "box color" stigma. When I was offered to try this color through BzzAgent, I thought "What the heck?". I LOVE this stuff! It worked just as well on my hair as the salon color I was using. It left my thick, coarse, wavy, frizzy hair shiny, smooth, and soft. Yes, the bottle is a bit odd, especially if you're like me and have smaller hands. If you add a little developer and then a little color, shake, and then keep repeating, it will mix perfectly for you. It also has not smell. Yay! Since this is the first box color I've ever used, I cannot compare it to other box color scents. However, I CAN compare it to salon color scents, and this is much, much better. Garnier, you have a new fan!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the product, packaging could use improvement I really loved the color and shine...also there was less of a chemical smell to my hair afterwards, much less. I also like the thickness of the product as it's applied and while it's processing, it is not dripping down my neck and ears. I think the packaging could be improved. I don't think there should be a separate bottle for the developer, it should be in the mixer/application bottle. Having an extra bottle in the box is wasteful, add an extra step the coloring process, and also makes the box need to be bigger. Also, I think the mixing application bottle should not be so round. Yes, it's cute, but it seems to be harder to hold. Just my opinion! But I really love the color and would not switch to another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product, bad applicator I love Olia as I think it is comparable to Inoa that my hairstylist uses. Every 2nd or 3rd color, I use Olia at home and she always says it looks good. However, the bottle applicator is horrible and every time it ends up flying out of my hands at some point. Not a good thing when filled with brown dye. Today, I finally contacted the customer service at Garnier about this and she said they are working on developing a new bottle. It needs some grippers or maybe the gloves need help. I like the product and hate the application because of this slippery issue.
