Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointment I wish that I had read the reviews for this tooth brush first. I really liked it at first, indeed getting that fresh from the dentist, clean feeling. A month later, no power. I figured that I'd change the battery, just like so many others that have reviewed this product. Thats when I headed to the internet for advice. I found a review where someone was able to put a bit of paper on the end of and got it to work again. I was not so lucky. I am very disappointed in this product from a company that I have stood by with so many others products. I hope that all these somewhat negative reviews spur the makers of this tooth brush to do something about it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short battery life, battery is difficult to change In agreement with other reviewers, the battery that came with the toothbrush lasted me about a month. When I went to change it, I found it impossible to do so. I ended up bending the metal end to get the battery out and the new battery in. Unfortunately, the brush is turned on as soon as I twist the battery compartment closed. The buttons are ineffective. Now, I leave the battery compartment slightly opened when not in use and twist it close to turn it on. THIS IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. If there is a "correct" way to change the battery, Oral-B should definitely provide instructions. Once this toothbrush is worn, I will definitely not purchase another.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult battery replacement I've been a fan of Oral-B Pulsar for a long time. Recently I purchased the one where I can change the battery. Never has changing a battery on a toothbrush been so ridiculously difficult as it has been on this product. First I had to "gently" bend back the metal coil in order to remove the AAA battery. When I put a new battery in the connection between the coil and the battery was so far apart, I had to try to again "gently": bend the coil so that it would make the connection. It didn't work...nor does the toothbush. I'm very disappointed. I will not buy this particular product again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasteful A friend bought a package of these toothbrushes and gave one to me. I really liked it until it stopped working after just a few weeks of use. I tried to replace the battery myself but couldn't get it to work properly. Essentially, removing the dead battery requires bending a battery contact permanently out of place, rendering the toothbrush inoperative. In my case, this happened even though the brush part of the toothbrush was still like new. I think it is irresponsible for a company to sell a toothbrush like this. Think of all the plastic, electronic components and batteries being thrown away and probably winding up in landfills. Aren't we supposed to be working toward sustainability?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oral B's Pro-Health Pulsar Toothbrush is the best! Prior to receiving Oral B's Health Pulsar toothbrush to review from their company, I always used manual. Little did I realize how much cleaner my teeth get using this toothbrush. I love the swift action in between my teeth which break up plague. I also enjoy massaging my gums. It's nice because it is easy to slip into my suitcase if I am going out of towne. Unlike the electronic units which are big and bulky. This toothbrush is ran by battery and completely disposable. Oral B suggests not to use beyond 3 months for maximum results, just buy a new one. The cost is very reasonable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great Toothbrush I received this product from Oral-B for the purpose of conducting this review. I will be the first to admit I did not think the Oral B Pro Health Pulsar toothbrush would make that big of difference. Wow!, Was I wrong. The first time I used the Pulsar Toothbrush I could see and feel a huge difference. The pulsar toothbrush gave my teeth a much better clean and removed more surface stains than I get with a regular toothbrush. My mouth just felt cleaner than normal brushing. I would have to say my favorite thing about the toothbrush is that the battery will last until it is time to replace it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a smart product due to battery You never know how fast a battery might die, but the vibrating brush function is only available while the original battery is working. A simple option to open the brush and let the customer be able to switch batteries might have been great, and it doesn't seem so hard to design it that way. However, in spite of how easy it seems to change the battery, it is not designed for normal customers to do that. * Funny direction written on the box, it tells us what to do when battery dies: "Simply throw it away and use a new one"?!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Power Packed Brush Overall I like the Oral B Pro-Health Pulsar Toothbrush for many reasons. One is for how clean my teeth feel when I'm thru brushing. Also the handle is comfortable and fits my hand well. I also like that for the price of a battery, you can just toss when the battery runs out and purchase a whole new unit. My only complaint, and it's personal to me, is the size of the head. I have a small mouth (dentist refers to it as a rose bud LOL) so the head is a tad too large, Overall, I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone looking to try a new, deep cleaning, battery operated toothbrush.
