  1. costs more works less
It does not work as good as the old one did it takes more uses to get the same results and it costs a lot more and if you follow the directions it tells you to shoot it into the air before each time you use it so you end up wasting half of it, but it does help if you use enough of it.

  2. Primatine Mist not the same

I have to agree with a couple others that reviewed this product. It isn't the same at all. The taste and smell is different like they were trying to make it more pleasant to take. Probably chemicals from doing that had weakened the mix. But it is VERY weak. It has NOT relieved my symptoms at all! Maybe just enough that I can walk and talk for a little while then have to do another couple doses. Primatine was a known killer back in the late 80's early 90's. As with any inhaler like this it's Russian Roulette. People also said it was taken off the market because of ozone. I remember Dianne Feinsteins web page saying it was taken off because people were making street drugs out of it.

I bought the old version and it worked instantly. I took a few puffs of this and nothing. I took a few more. Nothing. YES, I know there are directions and how many to take. I took quite a few and it did absolutely nothing. As if water was in it. I use asthmaneferin and it works instantly but I wanted to have something to carry in my pocket. This new primatene is weak.

As Explorer says not as good.
I'm a 73 year old and used Primatine before they stopped making it. Glad it's back but it take about 3 or 4 puffs to equal the old prim. But it is still less expensive than the prescription product I had to use and actually for me more effective.

  8. Not the good old Primatene Mist
I am currently 83 years old. I started to use Primatene Mist roughly 60 years ago. It was a God-send and was fairly priced. Roughly eleven years ago, the FDA pulled the product with the excuse that the propellant was going to destroy the ozone layer. So, after 50+ years, I had to get a RX from a doctor for Albuterol. The first inhalation of Albuterol caused anajphylaxsis - I quit breathing. I went by ambulance to the hospital. The EMT's fed me Albuterol which shut down my breathing. Eleven medications and four days later and after many struggles to breath, I was released from the hospital. They never discovered that I was allergic to albuterol. So, Primatene Mist is back and I should be celebrating. But I am not. Primatene Mist is not the same as the old product. If I were to guess, I'd say that the dose provided by the new inhaler is giving my about 1/4 the dose of the original Primatene Mist. So, why am I buying it? I use it in conjunction with Asthmaneferin and NO, my heart does not race, my blood pressure does not spike. Save me from doctors, please.
