Pyrex Storage Glassware, 3 Cup, with Lid 1 piece is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Premade Meals I bought 10 of these containers as Premade meal containers. I am a college student that likes to eat really healthy but that often involves a lot of time. And as a pre-med that is something I can not afford. So I spend my Sundays making a weeks worth of food and just store them in these containers. Then when lunch and dinner roll around I do not even have to think about what to eat... or be tempted by nasty fast food. These are by far the cheapest prices I saw and I am super happy with the way my eating plan is working. The containers themselves are really nice and the glass is thick. Many times I do not even put an ice box in my lunch box because the glass stays cold for so long. The lids are very secure and I often have to use two hands to pop the tops off. I would make this purchase over and over again. Hope this helped you decide.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great little storage containers, which pop right into the microwave or oven These are great little storage containers, which pop right into the microwave or oven without worry of fluorocarbons from plastic leaching into my food. The only thing I would recommend that Corning do is make the lids easier to use or sell an option to buy an easier to use lid, it is a little tricky to take the lids off because there is no tab or the plastic is a little stiff. I have arthritis in my fingers so this should be something that that could be refined. Been using Pyrex for years for pie and lasagna pans, now I need lids for those!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for cooking ahead I cook double recipe's and freeze half for a meal on a night when I'm short on time. The 6 cup is perfect for a side dish to serve 4 - 6 and the 11 cup perfectly contains a casserole. They stack beautifully without wasting space, can be reheated in the microwave or oven, then go directly to the table. Left-overs? Lid goes on and back in the fridge! Be careful removing frozen lids, they get brittle and don't microwave with lids either, they warp. Fortunately though, it's easy to buy replacement lids for not much money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good single serving glass storage containers I am very happy with these containers and have lots of them. I try to use glass storage containers, especially when I put away food which is still hot. These are particularly useful because they are a good serving size for one person. If you put liquid in them, which I often do, be careful as the lid is not leak proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice This is the perfect size for one meal with with plenty of stir room as well. This is my favorite size for when I make a casserole or batch of pasta, etc. and need something to put the leftovers in. The lids can be a little tight and tricky to get off, but love these otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy glass We have been using this product for years commercially and have seen a decrease in the quality of the lids and glass. There has been an increase in breakage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3 cup is the perfect portion The 3 cup size is the perfect portion for a complete meal for one. When I take them in my lunch I sometimes slide them inside a zippered quart bag because the seal isn't perfect for wet food. I put up with it because I prefer to eat from a glass dish rather than plastic. Not only do they clean better than plastic, glass is healthier in which to microwave. I freeze left-overs and send them to college for my sons for a taste of home. My biggest problem is getting my dishes back!

Avoid extreme temp changes. Pyrex glassware can be used for cooking, baking, warming and reheating food in microwave ovens and preheated conventional or convection ovens. Pyrex glassware is dishwasher safe and may be washed by hand using non-abrasive cleansers and plastic or nylon cleaning pads if scouring is necessary. This product is intended for normal household use only; it is not intended for camping, industrial or commercial use. Plastic lids are for microwave and storage use only, and are BPA free.
Safety
As with all glass products, you must exercise an appropriate degree of care, especially when cooking food at high temperatures. There are three primary risks associated with using glassware for cooking: (1) breakage due to a sudden temperature change applied to the glassware; (2) breakage due to impact if the glassware is dropped or knocked against a hard object; and (3) burning when handling hot bakeware. Failure to follow the warnings below may result in personal injury or property damage, or may cause your glassware to break or shatter immediately or later. Avoid sudden temperature changes to glassware. Do not: add liquid to hot glassware; place hot glassware on a wet or cool surface, directly on countertop or metal surface, or in sink; or handle hot glassware with wet cloth. Allow hot glassware to cool on a cooling rack, potholder or dry cloth. Be sure to allow hot glassware to cool as provided above before washing, refrigerating or freezing. Oven must be preheated before inserting glassware. Do not use on or under a flame or other direct heat source, including on a stovetop, under a broiler, on a grill or in a toaster oven. Add a small amount of liquid sufficient to cover the bottom of the dish prior to cooking foods that may release liquid. Avoid handling hot glassware (including ware with silicone gripping surfaces) without dry potholders. Avoid microwave misuse. Do not use glassware to microwave popcorn or foods wrapped in heat-concentrating material (such as special browning wrappers), heat empty or nearly empty glassware in microwave or overheat oil or butter in microwave (use minimum amount of cooking time). Be careful when handling broken glass because pieces may be extremely sharp and difficult to locate. Handling your glassware without an appropriate degree of care could result in breakage, chipping, cracking or severe scratching. Do not use or repair any glassware that is chipped, cracked or severely scratched. Do not drop or hit glassware against a hard object or strike utensils against it.
