Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well The dentist put a temporary crown on a molar of mine... it failed to stay in place even after being glued on a second time. It only stayed on for a few hours. So I went to RiteAid and bought Recapit. I waited until right before bed to glue it on so it could set for a good 6 hours before eating or drinking. I followed the directions... dry cap/ wet tooth. It did sting a little as the glue cured, but so far it has stayed on for over a week. I don’t floss that tooth, but I do brush it. With a little luck, it will hopefully hold for another 10 days until I get my permanent crown applied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic If you follow the works amazing. It lasted 3 months for me straight (I had to wait for my insurance to kick in). I babied it a few days, chewing on my other side, but then I forgot I even had anything wrong and chewed on both sides with no issues. It does only work on caps that attach to a tooth “stump”. It will not work on bridges or posts. It also probably wouldn’t work on a cracked crown or a cracked stump to attach it to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good capping Works well for a temporary fix. Has about eight applications. This is good! Follow directions and there should be no problems applying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from worked for a temporary fix I was on vacation and purchased this, because the stump for my crown broke. It worked as a temporary fix. For me personally it lasted about a day and then I would have to re-attach it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good Just used it today and so far it's holding. I don't see getting 8 uses as the tiny tube was only about 25% full.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ouch! I followed the directions exactly to glue my crown back on... As soon as this stuff touched my tooth, it was EXCRUCIATING pain - like I never felt before! Almost like a burning feeling.. Every nerve in my jaw lit up! The permanent cement that the dentist used when I went in did not have this effect, so it was definitely something in this product.... NEVER AGAIN!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could not hold I was disappointed with the product because it wouldn't hold and it did not feel like it was getting hard like the cement it was. It was as soft as denture adhesives and I was expecting a dental cement. I thought the product was "small but terrible", but it was just "small" in a cute little bottle.

1) Wash hands and dry thoroughly. 2) Prepare crown by carefully removing as much old cement as possible from the inside of the crown. Rinse and dry well. 3) Carefully clean and rinse tooth area with water. Do not dry. Leave moist. 4) Try to fit the crown back on the tooth before applying Recapit cement. Make sure it fits properly. If you cannot do this, do not proceed. See your dentist. 5) Make sure inside of crown is dry. Open tube by reversing the cap and punching a hole in the tip of the tube. Apply a small amount of the material onto the upper inside edge of the crown. 6) Remoisten tooth area, place crown on wet tooth and press firmly. 7) Bite down several times to insure proper fit. If the bite is not completely comfortable remove and repeat all steps until the crown feels normal. 8) Wait 5 minutes and then gently remove any excess material. Rinse out mouth with water. 9) Allow at least 1 hour to set before eating. Cement will fully set in 1 to 3 hours. 10) Keep tube closed to maintain freshness of remaining material. Note: When replacing a bridge apply Recapit sparingly to only 1 hollow tooth at each end of the bridge. Recapit should not be used on implants or posts without dentist advice. Any leftover material may be re-used as long as it remains soft and pliable. Once the material hardens it is no longer useable and must be discarded.
