Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not accurate against 5 tests at doctor office Recently I had a heart attack and happen to have this blood pressure monitor with me in the hospital and also at clinic visits after the heart attack at the cardiologist's office and the general practitioners in addition to the cardiac rehab blood pressure monitor. Each time the monitor read high on the diastolic readings. The systolic readings were ok (within 5 points) but diastolic readings were at least 10 to 12 sometimes 15 points higher. I would not recommend this stuff to anyone and wish I could get my money back but now it's been too long

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does the job I am a retired firefighter medic. I bought this to check mine and wife's BP since I can't use a stethoscope anymore due to severe hearing loss. It does OK however I don't feel it is as accurate a a regular BP cuff. It reads a bit higher than reading obtained by my doctor. It's close enough to monitor your BP though. As with any electronic device there are variables. The one thing I really notice is the pulse reading is always much higher than what it is so wouldn't depend on it for that purpose. If you get one take it to your local fire station and test it against a manual reading with a standard BP cuff so you can see any differences. Again though it should be within an acceptable margin for safe monitoring of your BP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cuff size matters I have the simpler machine not the complex. It works fine for average sized, or small people. A cuff that is too small will read higher than it should. A cuff that is too large will show a lower than accurate reading. A doctor's office has different sizes and may be why your readings vary from a doctor's office. So, if your pressure is measuring high compared to a doctor or measuring hypertensive crisis without the symptoms, I recommend purchasing a larger cuff size. I hope this helps. If anything, the heart rate monitor only goes down to 40, so I can not get an accurate reading, since I run slow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rite Aid blood pressure cuff, deluxe automatic Easy to read, easy to use, lots of options good price. I like the zippered pouch-you don't have to meticulously fold everything to get it back inside, lots of room. I don't particularly like the "one size fits all" cuff. If you don't have large arms, getting the long velcro cuff properly positioned around your arm w/o the velcro sticking to itself is a pain. I finally just left the wrap a bit loose and slid my arm out w/o undoing it, (the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Excellent product. Came about choosing this one because of high reviews from Consumer Reports. Even though it was a generic brand I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the readings (verified against doctor's findings). I especially like that you can set the machine to take 3 back-to-back readings & that it averages them out into one final figure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Diastolic, Systolic, and Pulse readings accurate! The cuff is too big, but it is usable. Never could get the date and time to work; however, the diastolic, systolic, and pulse readings are accurate, and that's what I needed. Good machine for the price. The readouts are easy to read, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rite Aide blood pressure cuff Delux Automatic The bp device is very easy to use and the measurements correspond with those in the doctor's office. I like the fact it can be used with batteries or plugged in. I am a retired medical professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind The meter works great. Numbers close enough to Drs machine. Wish they sent a small cuff though. My blood pressure had jumped over 25 pts but dr said it was okay. After searching the web I asked another dr and she suggested tracking my bp at home. I did some more web crawling and decided I would try this one. Well, it helped me find the source of my problem ( a vitamin) and now I'm back to my usual readings. Thanks riteaid.

Taking your Blood Pressure is as easy as 1, 2, 3! 1. Make sure the cuff tube is securely connected to the monitor. 2. Wrap the cuff around your upper arm so the bottom edge is about 1/2 inch above your elbow. Tighten the cuff until it is snug against your arm, but not too tight. 3. Push the start button. Read instructions carefully before use.
