Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disapointed and have been for years now... Like the others have stated. I used to ONLY purchase Scott double ply.. I LOVED it! the paper was super tough, but not rough and got the job done without rolling up or leaving behind balls of tp. Now I walk away with half a roll between my legs uuugghhh so annoying. I keep hoping they will go back to the old paper so I keep trying a roll here and a roll there but still the same new "crappy" version. I don't need my tp to be cotton soft, I want it to be just this side of newspaper but absorbent. I am still searching high and low for that perfect roll but can only find it in industrial facilities and individuals can't purchase those brands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened? Scott 1000 used to be the only TP I would buy. Last time I purchased, I noticed immediately when I opened the package that the product had changed. The paper is scratchy and not nearly as smooth as it used to be. The cardboard roll in the center must be different too because it is super loud when anyone uses it. I see the comments saying that nothing was changed- if the product wasn't redesigned, then you need to check your manufacturing process and your suppliers to find out where the change happened. Something is different. Why else do you think all of these people took the time to comment and let you know about the change? Stop making excuses and fix it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What's changed? This is not the same as it used to be and I've used this same brand for more than twenty years. I don't want to be vulgar but it seems like almost more paper is being left than is ending up in the toilet. I've not been very happy with the rolls for some time now; it's getting too soft or something...please bring back the old paper formula.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I and my family have used your product for many years. The quality is so poor now. I have irritation . Tissue is so thin that it breaks apart and leaves residue. I can't used product any longer. I have paid more for your products because of it's quality. You have changed the product and it is so poor now. I know of other people with the same complaints. I hope you change back. You are going to lose a lot of loyal and long time customers. You really have ruined your product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened? is the septic safe label the same as 'fast dissolving', same as 'much thinner than it was before'? I switched brands for a few months and when I went back to Scott I immediately noticed how much thinner it was. I compared it to an older roll in another bathroom (from about 6 months ago to make sure this was an accurate assessment), and yep, it is MUCH thinner! Soooo, thinner means more sheets will be used which means it's value has decreased. I've been using this product my whole life because half of it was lived in a house with a septic tank, so this was the only brand my parents used. Why did you do this, this is like the cheap public restroom toilet paper now. I will not be buying this product again unless you tell me the septic safe is not the standard but is in fact meant to be thinner. I have a picture to prove it also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unable to respond to your reply to my review You may not have made any "recent" changes (not sure what that means?) but based on the number of people who took the time to go to your website to let you know we've found Scott 1000 to now be so thin as to be unacceptable to continue using (and most have been deliberately purchasing this product for DECADES...)... I would think you would want to look into why the product is so unacceptable now? Perhaps the changes arent what you consider to be "recent", but clearly there ARE changes or people like myself wouldnt be taking the time to look up your website and give you the heads up that we would LIKE your product if it continued as it had been.... Apparently you want everyone to buy the "extra soft bathroom tissue" that is mentioned in every reply--- I tried it briefly but was having to put a new roll on the dispenser almost every day, so went back to 1000, but it's too thin

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible tissue! The worst! In an effort to find a new brand, I tried the scott 1000. Huge mistake! It's the worst tissue I've ever used! It was average priced, so no substantial savings, however after trying it, I realize it will actually cost u more in the long run, as it's so thin, that you use 2x as much!! Thinnest 1ply tissue ever, I'm quite certain I've had better quality in gas station bathrooms! Hands should not be soiled in the process, due to thin inferior tissue! Gross! Did I mention the scratchy, rough texture? Not soft at all! Will continue my search for new brand. Dont waste your money! In fact I've got 5 rolls u can have!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You can't scam a long time user!! Have purchased Scott toilet paper for 40 years and 7 children. You can keep saying the toilet paper has not changed but we are not buying it. The sheets are not only smaller but very thin. The rolls disappear so much faster. I was going to count the sheets but there may still be 1000 but it is 1000 sheets of poor quality toilet paper. Shame on you for trying to pass this off as the same quality product we have always counted on from what was once a great company.
