Reviews
Tums Antacid/Calcium Supplement, Ultra Strength 1000, Assorted Fruit, Chewable Tablets, 72 tablets is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 200.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please go back to the old inactive ingredients. The TUMS Ultra Strength 1000- peppermint, old formula with these -Inactive Ingredients: corn starch, flavor, mineral oil, sodium polyphosphate, sucrose, talc-- were so much better than the newer TUMS with these inactive ingredients: cellulose, dextrose, flavor, maltodextrin, mineral oil, polyethylene gycol, talc. All of the added ingredients are not needed. Also in the other flavors all of the dyes are harmful to many. Please return to the Classic TUMS formula. I just threw away two bottles of the 160 tablets and will try to find a store brand like the old TUMS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tums Ultra Mint is NOT as good as the Peppermint I came to this site to see if I could find out if the formula for Tums Ultra 1000 Peppermint has changed. It would appear that others have noticed a change too from the other reviews I read here. The Peppermint was very nice, slightly chalky but pleasant to chew. The Mint is very gritty and leaves a strange film in my mouth. Please change back to the old formula, I do not like the Mint and will see if I can find another product to replace it because it is just terrible. Bad Idea to change it, if it ain't broke don't mess with it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They've Changed The Texture & Effectiveness HORRIBLE!!! I used to only need about 1 or 2 of these to instantly cure indigestion/heart burn. Now, I can eat 3 of them and the problem will still persist. I only purchase the peppermint/mint flavor and now the tablets are more "powdery" and dissolve quicker, after biting into them. I don't like the new version AT ALL; I prefer the former "chalky" version. I'm going to try Rolaids or other brands, as Tums is now a waste of my money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I literally always have this product with me I take one anytime I feel any discomfort with heart burn. I love the tropical fruit flavors! So yummy , so it doesn't leave a nasty taste in myour mouth. The only time I've been disappointed by this product was when I went to the store the other day and I bought the big bottle of assorted fruit ultra 1000 and they don't taste the same so I compared the bottle to my old smaller bottle and the ingredients are different so I compared both ingredients to this website and the smaller bottle (the ones I liked) have the same ingredients as this website . Disappointed that I'll have to throw them out and check the ingredients before I buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No more for now! MINT is disgusting I can hardly swallow the MINT flavor. I used to use the peppermint, but now the mint is out and I can hardly swallow them without gagging. Yuk!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I do not like fruit-flavored Tums I have used Tums for many years. My favorite flavor WAS Wintergreen. I cannot find them anymore. I do not like any fruit flavors. Instead of helping heartburn I feel the fruit flavors make it worse. I do not like and never use Peppermint. I have read in many sources that Peppermint is on the list of things to avoid if you have acid reflux or heartburn. So why then would Tums or any company use this flavor for antacids? Makes no sense to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't recommend this new formula. I have used tums for many years and this new formula is nasty. Change it back. They seem like they have been sitting in a super moist greenhouse getting saugy. I hate them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined the tums We have gotten ultra strength tums in peppermint flavor forever. Now they changed the formula to mint. Please change it back. My son refuses to take the new flavor.
