Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful scent evokes childhood memories I have no idea whether Vicks Vapo-Rub has any truly medicinal properties. wouldn't even try to get through any upper-respiratory tract ailment without it. My mother and grandmothers used it liberally on me when I was a little Kid, so now that powerful scent is irrevocably linked to feelings of being safe, warm, loved, cared-for, and getting better. And that's half the battle, right there.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring Back the Old Formula Like others who have posted, something has definitely changed with VapoRub. It doesn't smell as strong. It has been posted that the formula hasn't changed but all of us couldn't be wrong. The nose knows. And while I'm writing, please bring back VapoCream. It was so much more pleasant to use. Had I known it was going to be discontinued years ago I would have bought it by the case. Pat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vicks works great ! After trying several other products for my sinus issues, a friend suggested I give Vicks a try. So, I decided to break out my old jar of Vapo-Rub. Applied it to my throat, chest, and the bottom of my feet as suggested... Wow ! -- I could tell it was working right away. After a few days, the sinus issues were history. --- Pretty good for a 20 year old jar of Vicks. (Exp date: 00)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pregnant and desperate I am 18 weeks pregnant and have had a horrible case of bronchitis for the past week. There is very little I can take that is safe for the baby so I haven't slept very much and am miserable from coughing. Today, a friend suggested I use Vick's VapoRub and I am SHOCKED at how much it has helped control my cough and soothe my irritated airway. THANK YOU for this awesome product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Effective but makes me want to wax my furniture My husband picked this up for me when I was sick and didn't realize it was lemon scented. It was effective but the smell was very strong and left me feeling like I needed to go clean something rather than relaxed. The smell of Vicks is a bit nostalgic and brings comfort. The lemon scent is not relaxing at all. If they want to try new scents, maybe lavender would be better?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is not effective. I've read a response from Vicks to another reviewer that stated there have not been any changes to the formula in recent times. However, there have obviously been changes since I used it years ago. I did not find it near as soothing nor as strong, so did not find the rub effective. It's also expensive for what it is, so I returned it to the store where I purchased it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AN ORIGINAL REMEDY WHICH IS THE BEST YOU CAN FIND I have been using Vicks since I was a child for colds, congestion. I developed allergies, which leads to sinus congestion, ear & face pressure. I put Vicks under my nostrils. In 1/2 hour, my sinuses drain, & immediate relief. I put Vicks in boiling water& breathe vapors for bronchitis. I hope Vicks is on the market for many years to come. Best remedy there is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many uses for Vick's Vaporub Besides being the only thing that helps my sinus headaches, I have found that Vick's also relieves muscle pain. I had strained a muscle on my side and remembered an article I read that Vick's relieves muscle aches. I tried it on my side when I went to bed and found that my side felt much better in the morning. I really love VapoRub.
